Schlimme Sache, aber hängt das Ausbrennen mit einem Unfall oder Fahrverhalten von Touristen zusammen oder war es ein technicher Defekt?

Tourists escape unhurt from burning rolling hotel

FIRE destroyed the iconic red overland hotel and bus combination that is regularly seen all over Namibia at the spots most visited by tourists earlier on Friday.
All of the tourists travelling in the bus were able to escape the inferno unhurt but had to stand and watch as their belongings were destroyed along with the rolling hotel.
A fire fighting team was dispatched from one of the nearby farms but by the time the volunteers arrived on the scene nothing more could be done to save the red rolling hotel.
The tour bus with its hotel in a trailer operated by Rotel Tours caught fire on the C14 Road between Walvis Bay and Solitaire about 15 kilometres away from the Kuiseb Pass.
The actual cause of the fire is unknown and would have to be determined by an investigation.
The rolling hotel features in many countries allover the world and is custom built buses in which guests can also sleep. The buses can sleep 24 - 34 guests, a driver and a tour guide. Guests ride in front during the day and then move to a triple deck of berths in the rear of the bus or as is the case in Namibia in the trailer at night.

"In the first incident the driver of a Volkswagen Amarok died instantly after a head-on crash with a vehicle driven by tourists from Germany on the gravel road between Outjo and Kalkfeld. The accident occurred about ten kilometres outside Outjo.
The German tourists sustained serious injuries and were entrapped in the wreck of their self drive touring vehicle. Hydraulic rescue equipment had to be used to free the tourists from the wreck in order for them to be transported to the hospital in Outjo. The injured foreign visitors were later referred to the Katutura State Hospital for further emergency medical treatment."

Ersten Spekulationen in den Sozialen Medien nach ist der Tourist auf der falschen Straßenseite gefahren.

Hab die Info über WhatsApp incl. Bilder von meinem Freund aus Windhuk bekommen. Er meint noch, der Touristenfahrer hat jetzt noch mindestens eine Anklage wegen Totschlags auf dem Hals. Absolut nicht lustig.
