RATE BASIS
Fully Inclusive (FI) – includes all meals, twice daily scheduled activities, beverages, local and selected imported alcoholic drinks, mini bar (replenished once per day) in the rooms and laundry. Excluded from the rate are the gratuities, curio purchases and any other items of a personal nature.
LOCATION
385 km kilometres north west of Windhoek - 4x4 vehicle preferable.
Recommend to contact your travel consultant prior to arrival with regards to road conditions which may be affected by seasonal changes e.g high rains.

ACCOMMODATION
9 Guest Rooms consisting of:
4 x Rooms with King Size extra length bed (1x luxury suite)
5 x Twin bedded Rooms each with two three quarter extra length beds.
Twin rooms can be converted to King size beds.
Guide/pilot/tour guide accommodation consisting of:
2 x twin bedded units each with two three quarter beds (not of the same standard as a guest room).
The lodge can accommodate 18 guests plus 4 guides/pilots sharing.
CHILDREN POLICY
Children from 8 years old are welcome at Namibia Exclusive Lodges.
Children 16 years and older are considered as adults.
Child rate is 50% of the adult rate. These rates are only applicable to a child sharing with full paying adult/s.
Two children 8 years and older, occupying their own standard room, oldest child pays adult sharing rate, other child pays 50% of the adult rate.
No family unit, child will be required to share a room with adults (a suite can be converted to accommodate maximum one child)
Not child friendly.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, especially when around the lodge fire place, pool or when on game drives.
No child-care. Children must be under the care of their parent/s and/or guardian/s at all times.
Please note that there is a minimum age requirement on certain specialized activities.
For lodge privatisation bookings, the minimum age restriction does not apply. However, the responsibility for the safety of children travelling to our lodges lies with the parent/guardian.
UNIT DESCRIPTION
Each unit is specially adapted to the harsh environment of the Damaraland condition, built on a platform to ensure maximum air flow, outside veranda to laze away during the hot afternoons
Rooms and public areas connected by raised wooden walkways.
No air-conditioning, however a fan can be provided upon request.
Each unit comprises of en-suite facilities with bath and shower, flushing toilet, vanity basin, luggage rack, electronic safe, mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities.
Liquid soap, Body wash, shampoo & conditioner, body lotion, mosquito repellent, bath salts, room spray, soap bars, disposable slippers, robes and night snack.
During winter hot water bottles and extra blankets are provided.
ELECTRICITY & WATER
Uses a combination of 80% solar and 20% generator power currently no solar.
220V electrical plug points in each guest unit, however these can be used for charging of batteries and for the use of sleep apnoea machines only, kindly bring spare batteries along
Drinking water is supplied
In major cities all electrical appliances run on 220V/240V, outlets are around 3 pin, 15-amp plugs.
EXAMPLE OF A TYPICAL DAY
Morning wake-up and activity times vary according to the seasons, activities on offer and wildlife sightings
Early morning wake-up call
Full breakfast before departing on the morning activity
Return to camp shortly before lunch and a rest period
Meet for afternoon tea before departing on the afternoon activity
Return to camp – freshen up or meet for drinks, followed by a 6 course dinner menu and thereafter, perhaps a nightcap
LAUNDRY FACILITIES
Laundry is provided on a daily basis (weather permitting) and included in the rates. Laundry bags available at reception upon request.
GRATUITY GUIDELINES
We would like to emphasise that tipping is not a requirement and should be undertaken by choice, dependant on the service received. We have enclosed a brief guideline to assist you.
Guides, specialist guides & butlers – We recommend US$10.00 per guests per day
The general staff Lodge – We recommend about US$10.00 per guests per day for safari camps. This should be placed in the communal tipping box to be distributed equally amongst all staff.
Transfer Driver – We recommend about US$2.00 to US$3.00 per guest per transfer.
