meine bessere Hälfte hat soeben auf der Homepage der Erongo Wilderness Lodge folgende Info gefunden:


Fire at Erongo: 30 July 2013

We regret to inform you that a fire has severely damaged the thatch roof of the restaurant at Erongo Wilderness Lodge.

At this stage we are unaware of what started the fire but it is contained to the main area of the lodge and, most importantly, nobody was injured during the fire.
We are busy assessing the situation and will revert back with more information as soon as we have it.

At this stage it seems that the kitchen was undamaged and we are in the process of devising a plan to erect a temporary dining area in order to host guests with the least amount of inconvenience.


The lodge is closed at the moment and is unable to host guests. We believe that we will be able to accept guests within a few days and, until that time, we are sourcing alternative accommodation for guests booked into the lodge.

We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Hauptsache, niemand wurde verletzt.

Wer in den nächsten Tagen/ Wochen dort unterkommen will, sollte vielleicht sicherheitshalber vorher kurz in der Lodge anrufen und nach dem Stand der Dinge fragen.
