Hi guys,

So pls use German to reply, I am sorry to be intruder here, but I found some people here very knowledgeble. And my question is too specific.

We would love to do one or two half/one day hikes (overnight also feasible) from the main road in Damaraland into areas where desert ellephants/rhinoes are potentially to be spotted. It's not so important that we spot them, just the thrill of trying to do so is equally important, and being self guided, on our own, is the main adrenaline driver (being driven around in a lodge jeep is for us totally uninteresting, and our own 4wd we just cant afford).

I have some spots on my mind, which come to me naturally when looking on a map.

(1) Uniab river from Palmwag campsite

(2) Hoanib river eastwards from Khowarib campsite

(3) Hoanib river westwards from Sesfontein

(4) Aba-Huab river from Twyfelfountain towards Desolation Valley

Any comments on these? If anyone has on his mind from his/her trip down there some nice place where hikes were nice, either because of the scenery or solitude or wildlife, I would be so much thankful if you share.

Danke sehr. Viel Spass.
