da sind doch sooo tolle Sachen bei, Du hast bestimmt nicht intensiv genug geschaut. Vor allem das "Hagemann Keltisches Wackelholz linksdrehend" hat mich begeistert. Ich sehe förmlich das namibische Kind vor mir, das dieses polierte Stückchen Holz für schlanke 18,95 € in Händen hält, während sich seine Freunde Bonbons oder Kekse in den Mund schieben. Wenn die anderen gar nichts haben, gibt´s eh eine Keilerei.

Pädagogisch wertvolles Spielzeug muss nicht überall auf der Welt wertvoll sein, vor allem, wenn die Beschenkten die sicher in deutsch verfasste Erklärung dazu nicht mal lesen können.

So ist es leider. Deshalb halte ich es so wie Marianne. Wenn wir von hier was mitnehmen, deht es vor Ort an Schulen oder Kinderheime oder auch mal in einen Farmkindergarten. Der Ansatz, Dinge vor Ort zu kaufen und dann weiterzugeben, gefällt mir auch.

...und ich habe auch gleich noch was gelernt...es gibt nicht nur linksdrehenden Joghurt sondern auch linksdrehende Wackelhölzer, warum die keltisch sind, kriegen wir bestimmt auch noch raus.

Ich möchte in diesem Zusammenhang aus dem Newsletter N.9 von Camp Syncro zitieren (in der Hoffnung, dass das okay ist):

Some thoughts about an issue that we often get asked about - The begging kids
We realised a sad development during the last couple of years and unfortunately it is getting
worse and worse: the begging children/people along the roads. It happens on a general basis
that tourist vehicles are welcomed by demanding children on the road shouting for
“sweeties” if the car does not stop or they do not hand out anything, it happens more and
more that the kids start picking up stones and throwing it after the cars… Yes, sadly,
nowadays the locals started associating a tourist vehicle with “they will unconditionally give
you something for free”.
Well yes, this is a very difficult topic… And there is no simple answer or solution to it!
But since a lot of our guests ask us about our opinion, we will try to explain our view by
means of a simple example. (We will not tell you what to do or what not to do – you are all
old enough to make your own decisions…!)
Just imagine two kids. One is in school or helping at home, the other one is waiting next to
the road begging for sweeties. Now a tourist car arrives and stops in order to help this
“poor” child next to the road. Which of the two kids will be rewarded with some sweeties or
fruits or whatever? The one learning in school/working at home, or the one doing nothing
but waiting and begging? Which of the two behaviours do you promote with your actions?
There is not really an incentive for the kid in school to keep on learning and working when he
could just do nothing but wait and beg and being rewarded for it… Yes, obviously, the
incentive should be getting a good education, and therefore a better future… but please
keep in mind it is a child, and it thinks as a child does! What is more interesting for a child:
sweets or homework?
Now it is on you to decide what you do the next time when you see some people next to the
road…
