Fuer alle, die den Sueden des Nationalparks erkunden wollen:

New management has taken over the location.

Game viewing can best be described as fair to good. The last couple of years has seen noticeable improvements in sightings with the poaching problem now largely under control. We get particularly fine sightings of Wild Dog, Cheetah (7 on one game drive recently!!) Roan and Sable as well as the norms ? Zebra, Wildebeest, Warthog, Elephant, Reedbuck, Oribi, Impala, Kudu, etc, and the smaller carnivores. The only real issues we have relate to Lion and Buffalo, which are present but are rarely seen.

ZAWA are currently grading the roads in the south and our lodge/camp site is accessible through the plains on the east during the dry season only and from the cordon road on the west. Access to the park from Kalomo to Dundumweze is currently difficult as the road is in poor condition, but useable if you take it easy.

We have fewer campsites in many locations (especially Kafue) each year. If this fits your itinerary, consider checking out Nanzila Plains Safari Camp.
